The Witham Tae Kwon-Do Club opened its doors in February 2007 under Mr Tom Cumner, we started training at the Spring Lodge Centre but after a few months the number of students increased and therefore had to find another location.
The Witham Tae Kwon-Do Club was then passed too Instructors Aaron Venables and Stuart Hornby in 2009 both of whom trained together to reach their Black Belt and take their Instructors Course. In May 2010 due to an old injury Aaron had to retire and have a major operation on his ankle and everyone from the club wished him well and a speedy recovery. In 2013 Carly Victor one of the first students to join the club became Assistant Instructor to Mr Hornby.
In December 2014 Mr Hornby had to leave the club due to work and family commitments and we wished him all the best for the future.
The club then was under the guidance of Instructor Edward Waller who is a highly experienced 4th Degree Black Belt. In 2015 Carly went on to complete all the necessary courses to become a qualified Instructor and from 2016 took over the running of the club along with Assistants Matthew Clark and Eleanor Barnes.
In February 2017 the club celebrated its 10th Anniversary and the club is bigger than ever.
The Club is a very family orientated and friendly environment for anyone wishing to join, Tae Kwon-Do will improve your fitness, flexibility and most of all your confidence know matter what your age so why not come along and see for yourself everyone is welcome.
